Outdoor lighting in the form of lamppost It looks lovely in the garden or in the park. The impressive height of the lamppost ensures that the light is spread out evenly all around. It is also a pleasure to look at in the garden and makes a lovely feature in, for example, a flowerbed or along a path. Some people choose to line the approach to their property with lampposts to create an avenue.

LED light sources for our outdoor lighting

All of Kulturlampan’s outdoor lighting can be fitted with LED light sources; these save energy and last much longer than the old-style incandescent bulbs. LEDs are hard to beat when it comes to providing the most efficient light output whilst consuming as little electricity as possible. Choosing an LED light source for your outdoor lighting reduces energy consumption by 90% compared to an incandescent bulb. These days, you can also choose LED light sources that have a classic style with a warm white light and resemble the old-fashioned incandescent bulbs; they are perfect for outdoor lighting from Kulturlampan.

It is also worth bearing in mind that you should not use an LED light source that is too bright or too cold. This is because the eyes adapt to the darkness, and a lamp that is too bright can do more harm than good, as the area outside the lamp’s glow is then perceived as even darker. A warm white light is therefore preferable and is available from us as an accessory.

Positioning of outdoor lighting

Our classic lanterns are beautiful to place by the door at the entrance, and in that case we usually recommend positioning the upward-facing lights at roughly the same height as the top of the door frame – a little below or above works too. When placing them on the facade, you have to take the height of the house/building into account. If you have a tall house, you should also choose slightly larger lights for your outdoor lighting.

Stable lights They’re also lovely to have in a corner of the house; it can be a nice spot if you want to spread the light. If you have a two-storey house you can position the lamp a little higher up on the knot. On older houses, you can sometimes see outdoor lighting fitted on the gable, about 1 metre below the eaves.
