Cast iron lamp post a classic

Cast iron lamp post from our collection. It is a very well-crafted outdoor light for generations to come. This kind of classical lamp post has lit up streets, squares, parks, gardens and houses for centuries. The style is elegant and appealing; you can both feel and see that a cast-iron lamp post is a robust fitting that will grace its surroundings for a long time!

Materials and construction

Our cast iron pillar lanterns are made of solid, high-quality cast iron, hand-cast in the traditional way in sand moulds, just as it has been done for centuries. The pillar lantern and the post—everything is cast in iron, even the small details such as the top finial and the base plate. The entire outdoor lighting fixture is rust-protected and then hand-painted in a matt black wet lacquer—precisely to achieve the authentic old-fashioned look desired for these classic lamps. All our posts are delivered in three parts. The lantern has a lamp holder with an E27 fitting, and LED bulbs are perfectly fine to use. The lamp post is CE-marked

Post lamp with various lampshades

For our cast iron pillar lamp, you can choose different lantern heads. We have the round lantern heads which are in copper and brass. The round lantern heads were very common at the beginning of the 20th century, around the turn of the century. The square and hexagonal lantern heads are classic and beautiful, and made entirely of solid cast iron. The glass is genuine and reflects the light from the lamp beautifully. We also have lantern heads that are cast in brass and have a copper top, very elegant and stylish together with the beautiful cast iron pillar.
